Le Vaudeville

Le Vaudeville has been playing its role as a brasserie since 1918. Thousands of “spectators” have frequented it for more than a century. They come for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner in an Art Deco setting of wood paneling, marble, and mirrors, seated on comfortable leather banquettes. One eye on the Palais Brongniart across the street, another on a neighbor, a companion—or simply on one’s plate. People come to indulge in a dozen oysters with a glass of Chablis around 11 a.m., sauerkraut with Riesling at noon, or tête de veau with a glass of white Châteauneuf-du-Pape around 2 p.m. And rest assured—the menu also features the famous Vaudeville macaroni, eggs in red wine sauce, French onion soup, a Caesar salad, and a proper steak with a proper pepper sauce.
